Change SAP forms without programming

During operation, SAP forms are subject to continuous changes. The managing director changes, the bank connection changes, a reference to a trade fair has to be printed, a label has to be corrected or a new language is added.

For most of the changes, a form developer has to be hired and is burdening the IT budget. Not anymore, the solid.FormKit tools open up new perspectives for SAP users with no programming knowledge.

Individuelle Konfiguration der Formulare

solid.FormKit features

  • A set of tools for customizing forms

The solid.FormKit is a set of tools that allow you to customize forms without programming. Essential layout elements, translations and text modules can be changed with one click or table entry. You do not need to hire a form developer for every little change. The solid.FormKit makes the maintenance of PDF-based print forms on the basis of SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe much easier.

  • solid.Cockpit - Central switchboard for form changes

The solid.Cockpit is the central access point, where you can control the form printout process. You select a form and go to the desired transaction using the pushbutton to customize the form.

You can call the following transactions:

    • Maintain form labels
    • Form translation
    • Maintain text modules per form and its order
    • Maintain form contact persons
    • Customizing of the form layout
    • Maintenance view with an overview of all tables
  • Individual configuration of each form by customizing

Each individual SAP form can be customized to your needs by customizing. This allows you to specify the content and arrangement of certain forms without programming. E.g., you can decide which partner appears as a receiving address or what is the content of the “Material number” field. In this way, we have removed many form elements from the programming and make them available to the user via customizing.

  • Comfortable maintenance of labels and translations

To reduce complexity, our forms exist in only one language. The maintenance of the form labels with translations is done in a program, where you can see the variables with all languages in a row.

The simultaneous printing of different code pages on a form is also possible. You can print elements in German, Chinese, Greek, and Russian on a form without restrictions.

  • Flexible configuring text modules per form

In our forms, text modules are not hard-coded, but are stored in a table for each form and company code. The configuration of the texts refers both to texts in the application object (for example, customer orders) and to standard texts of the SAP text database.

The table entry defines whether the text

    • appears in the form head (before the positions),
    • in the positions or
    • in the form appendix and

    determines the text order.

You can now temporarily print a sales promotion, a notice to trade show, or business holidays without having to hire a form developer.

  • Central maintenance of texts and special properties per company code

If you change a bank account or the managing director changes, you often have to change many forms, text modules, and customizing settings in the SAP standard. We have put a stop to that.

You can now maintain in a single table per company code

    • the sender,
    • the form footer,
    • graphics in form footer,
    • the logo,
    • the email disclaimer and
    • the position of the address (e.g., in France, the address is printed to the right)

A change in that table will immediately take effect in all forms.
